Intern - Public Relations

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Independent record label seeks brilliant interns looking to break into the music industry. Interns will become a vital part of the Public Relations process by carrying out and implementing PR plan initiatives and creating awareness campaigns for a number of Wunder Boy artists and brands.

Position Responsibilities:
•Assist with all media relations initiatives with artists and label
•Cultivate relationships with the press for music releases
•Coordinate in-person and phone interviews for talent
•Write and distribute press releases (and e-mail blasts) for newspapers, television and online media
•Set up album listening sessions
•Coordinate press mailings
•Various projects as needed

Requirements & Qualifications:
1. A current student with career goals in music and/or music business would be ideal.
2. Someone who wants to learn the ropes and realities of the music industry.
3. Must be passionate about hip hop music.
4. Must be organized, detail oriented yet also fun and outgoing.
5. Must be available some nights and weekends for assistance @ shows.
6. Must have own transportation, computer, etc.
7. Ability to work well independently without a local supervisor
8. Good Written and oral communications skills
