Production Coordinator, Independent Lens

The person in this role oversees production activities to ensure the successful delivery of the Independent Lens (IL) PBS series and assists with the workflow of IL co-productions and acquisitions by coordinating asset delivery and communication across internal teams, filmmakers, and external vendors to maintain operational efficiency and trustworthy content.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
--Collect and review film deliverables that include annotated transcripts, music cue sheets, translations, and captions for multiple platforms , with an emphasis on long-form.
--Coordinate and communicate changes in film delivery timelines across departments and externally to PBS and engagement partners, facilitate ongoing communication between ITVS teams, including Production, Legal, Audience Development, and Creative Services, in addition to external partners, including filmmakers, vendors, and PBS, to ensure alignment on deliverables, schedules, and FCC and PBS standards and practice guidelines.
--Set up, update, and maintain project deliverables in databases, including Facilis, Netsuite, and Google Drive, and support the Coordinating Producer, IL, in tracking workflows in the project management system, Asana, to ensure compliance with department standards.
--Oversee the delivery of key episode assets to PBS that include time codes, underwriting credits, and technical data.
--Assist with departmental and institutional administrative matters, including planning and executing meetings and other events, and coordinating travel when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:
--Required: 1-3 years of experience in TV or film production, public media, entertainment, marketing, advertising agency, brand management, or related field.
--Required: Strong understanding of production and post-production processes, in addition to research skills.
--Preferred: Experience with file database and project management systems, including Asana, NetSuite, and Google Suite.
--Preferred: Knowledge of FCC regulations, PBS standards for broadcast content, and the music cue sheet process.
Salary/Benefits
$26.15 - $29.42 /hour USD
Base pay will begin at $26.15/hour.
