We're looking for a Dialogue Performance Director to help us recreate the original on-screen performance using voices. This is a creative, detail-obsessed role: you'll listen to the original performance, mark up the script with directing tags, and then iterate ''takes'' until the delivery feels natural and matches the picture.
This is a great fit for people with a filmmaking/acting/dubbing/ADR mindset (including film school creators who love performance).
What you'll do
Add directing/performance tags to scripts to match the original performance (emotion, intensity, subtext, sarcasm/irony, pauses, breaths, pacing).
Direct voice ''takes'' through iteration: timing, emphasis, energy, pitch/intonation - until it matches the picture.
Maintain voice Consistency across scenes/episodes; catch ''robotic'' artifacts and voice drift.
Polish for natural delivery + lip-sync feel: timing, emphasis, pronunciation, rhythm.
What this role is NOT
Not a software engineering role
Not a sound design
Not an ML research role
Not a localization project management/vendor management role
If your background is mainly PM/ops/engineering, this probably won't be a fit.
You'll be successful here if you…
Have a strong ear for acting: subtext, intention, comedic timing, emotional truth.
Can write clear, compact, impactful directions (tags/notes) that reliably produce better performances.
Love iteration: you can do multiple passes quickly and keep improving the take.
Are comfortable working with scripts, timecodes, and reference video/audio.
Requirements
Proven experience in at least one: voice direction, dubbing/ADR, acting coaching / direction, performance directing, dialogue editing (performance-focused), scripted narrative production.
Excellent English (reading/writing) for precise performance notes and tags.
close attention to details + strong taste in what sounds ''human'' vs ''robotic'' and more importantly, what ''works''.
Nice to have
Familiarity with AI voice / TTS workflows (any platform).
Dubbing/localization creative QC experience.
Experience building character voices across episodes (continuity mindset).
