We love Pacers basketball and are building a team that loves the team and fans as much as we do! The Associate Marketing Manager-Indiana Pacers is a key player in the marketing department and is at every Pacers home game! The role is the creative and execution lead on multiple areas of the business including Game Day entry and concourse experience at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, management of the PS&E Brand Ambassador team as well as budget management and supporting the Pacers Marketing Director across initiatives. This individual will also play a key role in Pacers Fan Jam and Fan Appreciation Night. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, outgoing, has a positive demeanor and is a strong problem solver. This position is very busy during the Pacers season and requires working evenings, weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute concourse activation plans for all games and conduct walkthroughs to ensure proper set up
• Hire and manage entertainment for Pacers and Fever games, such as Family Time Entertainment, caricaturists, DJs/Bands, etc.
• Plan auditions, selection and communication for player Fan zones; ongoing management of Fan Zones including organizing communication, promotions, props and tickets
• Collaborate with Player Development on player appearances and events with Fan Zone members
• Hire, train, and manage the marketing & brand ambassadors for each semester
• Develop and manage staffing plan for all events and games
• Support the Pacers marketing team in budget planning, management and tracking including managing invoices and reports for finance and marketing leadership
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and at least 2 years of professional marketing experience and/or a combination of graduate level education (i.e., MBA) and experience. Other preferences include experience with event marketing and activation, and promotional marketing. Knowledge of digital and social media marketing methods is also preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports. Ability to write reports, recaps, and correspondence with very high accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, Clients, Customers, and the general public. Ability to communicate and sell ideas to peers and executives. Ability to create and deliver presentations to all levels of employees and upper management.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make recommendations.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
This position requires the employee to be proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc. A strong understanding of social media sites, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other emerging channels, is preferred.
