The Executive Operations Intern will receive practical exposure to executive operations, project management, production coordination, organizational development, and business systems.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with project trackers, timelines, calendars, and deadlines
Preparing meeting agendas, notes, action items, and follow-up documentation
Assisting with the development and organization of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Conducting business, vendor, market, production, and tour research
Organizing company documents and digital files
Supporting production schedules and operational planning
Maintaining contact, resource, and project databases
Assisting with weekly status reports and project updates
Tracking assignments and project milestones
Supporting coordination across company initiatives and departments
Assisting with special projects under the direction of the COO
As the intern may also receive exposure to sponsorship and partnership operations, multi-city production planning, media production workflows, and other aspects of building and operating an entertainment company.
This internship is designed as a learning experience. The selected intern will receive supervision, mentorship, regular check-ins, defined learning objectives, and opportunities to complete portfolio-ready projects. Projects may include developing an SOP, creating a project or production tracker, conducting research and preparing a professional brief, documenting a business process, or developing a process-improvement recommendation.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a college student who is organized, dependable, curious, professional, and interested in learning how the business behind media and entertainment operates. Students studying business, communications, media, film/television, entertainment, project management, marketing, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Strong written communication, attention to detail, time management, and basic computer skills are important. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, project management platforms, or cloud-based file systems is helpful but not required.
Previous entertainment industry experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, ask questions, take initiative, and contribute in a growing entrepreneurial environment.
Internship Details
This is an unpaid internship with academic credit available. Students are responsible for confirming academic credit eligibility and requirements with their college or university. The internship is primarily remote, with potential opportunities to observe or support select productions, events, or other company activities based on location, availability, production needs, and applicable school requirements.
The goal of the Trim & True Media Fellowship Program is for interns to leave with practical experience, stronger professional skills, portfolio-ready work, and a better understanding of career opportunities within the business and operational side of the entertainment industry.
