Casting Associate / Influencer Researcher
We are seeking an exceptionally organized, internet-obsessed Casting Associate to join the casting team for a fast-moving slate of digital-first shows and YouTube channels.
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who lives and breathes creator culture. You follow emerging influencers before they break, understand what is trending across platforms and can quickly identify the personalities who have the potential to become major on-camera talent.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable spending hours researching creators and maintaining a perfectly organized casting tracker. You should be curious, resourceful, detail-oriented and genuinely excited by the constantly changing world of online content.
Responsibilities
Research emerging creators, influencers and on-camera personalities across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch and other platforms.
Identify talent showing early signs of growth, originality, strong audience engagement or viral potential.
Track current content trends, formats, memes, communities and rising creator categories.
Build and maintain organized talent lists, research documents and casting databases.
Prepare concise candidate profiles that include platform links, audience information, relevant content, on-camera strengths and potential concerns.
Find contact information and support initial outreach to prospective talent and their representatives.
Monitor candidate responses and keep outreach, availability and follow-up information current.
Assist with scheduling interviews, auditions, chemistry reads and screen tests.
Collect and organize reels, social links, headshots, résumés, releases and other casting materials.
Help prepare casting presentations, shortlists and weekly status reports.
Communicate professionally with candidates, representatives and internal team members.
Provide general administrative and production support to the Casting Director and Casting Producer.
Handle confidential talent and project information with discretion.
Qualifications
Deep enthusiasm for influencers, creators, digital entertainment and internet culture.
Strong familiarity with leading and emerging personalities across major social platforms.
An instinct for recognizing talent before it becomes widely known.
Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple lists, deadlines and active candidates without losing track of information.
Strong written communication and research skills.
Comfortable learning new databases, tracking systems and collaboration tools.
Resourceful and persistent when information is difficult to find.
Able to work quickly and accurately in a changing, deadline-driven environment.
Professional and thoughtful when communicating with talent.
Collaborative, curious and eager to learn.
Previous professional casting experience is not required. Internships or experience in casting, talent management, production, social media, journalism, research or digital content are helpful but not necessary.
