Imagine This Women's International Film Festival is looking for a Public Relations (Unpaid Intern)
An internship at the Imagine This Women's Film Festival is an excellent opportunity for film lovers.
Please note, this is an unpaid intern position
Responsibilities:
The Public Relations Intern will assist with multiple communications projects that include writing press releases, coordinating interviews, and creating press clips for media kits.
The Public Relations Intern is responsible for assisting the overall communications strategy and executing local and national media outreach to promote and generate favorable media coverage surrounding programming for the 2019 Imagine This Women's International Film Festival. The PR Intern must have excellent grammar skills, a friendly personality and solid knowledge of the festival.
Assist with writing press releases and other press communications
Assist in identifying and tracking opportunities for print, online, and broadcast media
Update media contacts
Analyze data and create fact sheets for interested parties (popular e-blasts, magazine features, social media mentions, etc.
Compile and archive press clippings and media mentions
Qualifications:
Passionate about learning; enthusiastic about film culture, film festivals, lifestyle, entertainment, and women in film
Be passionate and knowledgeable about media and entertainment outlets
At least one prior PR (or similar) internship is preferred but not required
Have excellent storytelling, writing skills, and proper grammar - Have experience with both creative and business (PR) writing
Be a current public relations, communications, journalism or advertising student
Ability to Multitask and a Self-Starter with a Go-Getter Attitude
Currently in pursuit of a college degree in Communications, Journalism
College credit will be provided to all candidates
Available to commit 10-15 hrs. per week for the fall (End of August through November).

ITWIFF offers our interns the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in an art and film festival organization; develop skills in social media, content creation, marketing and PR, email marketing, and project management; and to gain exposure to the independent film industry. Though unpaid, this is an excellent opportunity to participate in the process of an international film festival and the opportunity to network with industry leaders. University credit hours are available to qualified candidates.
Terms:
Work from home will be required, so a personal laptop or access to a desktop will be expected
Must be available 10+ hours weekend of November 8-10th 2019
This is a non-paid part-time internship position
Credit may be earned if needed
