illuminate Hollywood, a leading LA based Post Production Company is seeking Senior Data Operator to join our team. This is a swing shift position.
illuminate Hollywood is a technology innovator in production and post-production serving the local and global entertainment industry. Working with major studios, TV networks, digital platforms, independent producers, and distributors, illuminate provides traditional post-production services such as editorial, color correction, digital intermediate and distribution in 2K and 4K.
We are looking for a professional self-motivated candidate, with superior work ethic and ability to work to strict delivery deadlines, with minimal direct supervision. This is a swing or graveyard position. Must have the ability to review and understand technical specs as they pertain to the creation of content for digital distribution platforms.
Qualifications:
• Experience with the latest formats TIFF, DPX, MPEG2, H.264/AVC and ProRes, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of video Compression and Decompression techniques
• Knowledge of file formats and wrappers
• Understanding of pre-processing techniques specifically for digital video filtering and scaling; frame rate and format conversions
• Knowledge of Aspect Ratio Conversions
• Understanding of television standards such as 4K/UHD, 2K/HD, NTSC and PAL
• Must have experience with Transkoder, Clipster, Digital Rapids, Premiere, Resolve, Avid and Final Cut Pro
• Ability to use File transfer protocols such as: Aspera, Signiant, AWS and client proprietary systems
• Must be familiar with Windows and Mac operating systems
• Familiarity with XML and other file formats
• Knowledge of different drive formats (HFS, NTFS, Fat 32, etc.) and LTOs.
•HDCamSR, Digital BetaCam and other tape format experience, a plus
• Attention to detail, a must
• Strong communication skills
•Must be able to multi-task and handle high security elements, adapt quickly to new technology and equipment, and operate within Quality Control standards
