Position Summary
Supports the main Heirloom Diet blog by creating written content and visual assets. This intern assists with ''The Heirloom Diet Almanac'' and company newsletters by producing well-researched, science-grounded articles and accompanying visuals.
Responsibilities
Write long-form blog posts based on outlines and approved topics with the Heirloom voice
Help draft and refine post outlines
Optimize posts for readability and SEO
Create and find images and diagrams for blog posts
Research historical perspectives on food and lifestyle
Summarize scientific studies into accessible language
Draft newsletter articles that align with core pillars
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent writing ability
Understanding of branding consistency
Strong researcher
Ability to translate science to everyday language
Basic graphic design is helpful
Interest in public health and food systems
Basic understanding of SEO, digital content ecosystems, and Google Workspace
Learning Opportunities for the Intern
Hands-on experience in writing and researching at the startup level
Published articles on an active website
Learn how to craft persuasive content around a strong social message without moralizing or shaming.
Practice translating complex ideas into accessible language for real families.
