Associate Food and Lifestyle Editor, Food Network Magazine

This is a Full Time Job

Food Network Magazine is looking for an organized, professional, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven associate editor. You are the ideal candidate if you possess those qualities plus extensive knowledge of the culinary world and three years of professional experience as a food journalist, both writing and editing. Responsibilities:

• Generate fun, recipe-based and lifestyle story ideas
• Assign, produce, and edit creative, timely food and lifestyle features
• Monitor relevant publications, blogs, and industry news sources to identify trends
• Liaise with food stylists and art department
• Attend photo shoots
• Write headlines, deks, and intro copy
• Provide assistance as needed for cookbooks and special projects
• Evaluate pitches from freelance writers
