The Job
The intern will work closely with our producer and have the opportunity to learn from and support projects featuring established comedians, actors, and writers whose work can be seen across networks and platforms including Showtime, HBO, and Netflix.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in entertainment development and production while learning how projects move from an initial idea to execution.
This is a hybrid position based in New York City. The role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings, productions, or events.
Qualified Candidates Are
Passionate about the entertainment industry, with a strong interest in comedy, television, film, podcasts, and live entertainment.
Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Resourceful and proactive, with a willingness to take initiative, ask questions, and contribute to a collaborative team.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Workspace, or eager to build proficiency in these tools.
Interested in researching industry trends, identifying relevant contacts, and helping maintain industry databases.
Strong written and verbal communicators who are professional, personable, and comfortable interacting with a range of people.
Adaptable and enthusiastic about supporting a variety of administrative, creative, and production-related tasks.
Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
The Daily
Assist with day-to-day administrative and development tasks, including updating industry databases, conducting research, script coverage, organizing materials, scheduling meetings, and drafting emails.
Help support the development and production of a range of projects, including digital content, films, television shows, and live events.
Assist with project coordination by tracking deadlines, organizing documents, and helping the team stay on top of ongoing tasks.
Help maintain and improve organizational systems, contact lists, and internal processes.
Provide support with event preparation, production logistics, and other projects as needed.
The Essentials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eagerness to continue developing them.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while balancing multiple assignments.
A positive attitude, willingness to pitch in, and enthusiasm for learning new skills.
Good time management skills and the ability to communicate proactively about deadlines and questions.
Professionalism and courtesy when interacting with writers, producers, talent, and other industry professionals.
