COMMUNITY & SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN - MEGANOVEL

*Location: Los Angeles / Remote
*Dates: September 1 - December 18
*Commitment: 2-3 days per week (candidate's choice)
*Work Setup: Remote or in-office at our Hollywood office (candidate's choice)
*Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in school and able to receive academic credit for the internship

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Community & Social Media Intern to work with the team behind MegaNovel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Help manage and grow the MegaNovel Discord community
• Create conversations, polls, games, challenges, events, Q&As and other ways to keep members engaged
• Engage directly with readers, writers and fans
• Help develop content for Facebook, Instagram and other social platforms
• Stay on top of Discord, social media, memes, trends and online culture
• Brainstorm creative ways to spotlight stories, writers, characters and community members
• Help us understand what our community wants and bring new ideas to the table
• Support social campaigns, community initiatives and special events

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• You really know Discord! Not just how to use it, but what makes a server and community actually fun and active
• You live and breathe social media and internet culture
• You're creative, curious and comfortable pitching your own ideas
• You understand what gets people to comment, participate and come back
• You're organized, proactive and excited to learn

No entertainment or publishing industry experience is required. We care much more about your creativity, community instincts, and understanding of social media and Discord.

This is a hands-on opportunity to help shape and grow the community of an international digital entertainment platform while gaining real-world experience across community management, social media, digital publishing, creators, fandom and content marketing.
