Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
About the Position
Golden State is looking for a Manager to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to support the growth of our business. In this role, you will partner closely with Accounting, Sales, Operations, and department heads while leading the annual budget and quarterly forecast. We need a self-starter with incredible attention to detail, financial acumen, aptitude for technology, and a desire to work within a fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Director, FP&A.
This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for Golden State entities and operations
• Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and scenario analysis
• Work closely with department leaders to gather input, validate assumptions, and align financial targets with business objectives
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate accruals and financial alignment
• Responsible for monthly reporting of actuals and variance analysis to department leadership
• Support preparation of monthly reporting package and financial analytics for senior management, as well as Executive Board and Ownership presentations
• Maintain financial assumptions and working model in Adaptive planning tool
• Ad hoc scenario analysis
• Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years experience reporting and forecasting in an FP&A environment
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles (e.g., validating accruals/re-class activity)
• High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel (e.g. vlookups, pivot tables, if/then statements and other advanced calculations and formulas)
• Proficiency in financial reporting systems (NetSuite) and/or financial planning systems (Adaptive Planning)
• Self-starter, standout colleague, highly motivated and detail oriented
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to gather and analyze financial and operational data to develop projections and forecasts
