Teleprompter Operator

This is a Full Time Job

Fox News is hiring a Teleprompter Operator to join our DC Bureau. As the Teleprompter Operator, you will provide technical operational support to our studio team via teleprompter on high-profile shows. You are experienced with prompter systems and software.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate teleprompter during live and recorded productions
• Match the information on the screen with what is occurring in the studio
• Facilitate other facets of studio operations including studio setup
• Provide backup support to other Studio positions

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
• Good working knowledge of broadcast language
• Ability to work with various hosts with different speech patterns and preferences
• Familiarity with the dynamics of a live studio environment
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
• Ability to work in highly distracting settings and under considerable pressure
• An overall understanding of the news and production process
• A commitment to excellence
• Knowledge of INews and WinPlus is a plus
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
