Fox News Live is looking for a talented Freelance Tape Production Assistant to join our DC team on the weekends. As the Freelance Tape PA, you will cut, edit, and review video and soundbites for air and helpline producers execute their vision. The Freelance Tape PA always remains calm under pressure to create the perfect product for air. It's a great way to carve out a career in the world of television!
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Cut, edit, and look over all video and soundbites that make it on air
• Work with line producers and writers to pick the best video
• Cut video on the fly
• Work with editors to ensure that everything is organized and will make deadlines
• You are the final set of eyes on every video that makes air
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of experience in television
• Experience with editing software
• A positive attitude
• Ability to work weekends
• A passion for current events
• Willing and able to work under tight deadlines while juggling several tasks at once
