Producer, Outkick

We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and hardworking Producer to join Outkick.com.

OutKick is a leading national media platform that produces and distributes engaging content at the intersection of sports, pop culture, and politics. OutKick content and contributors, which are accessible on OutKick as well as across video live streams, social media, podcasts, and radio, reach tens of millions of fans each month. Originally founded by Clay Travis, OutKick is a FOX Corporation company.

As a Producer at Outkick, you have the opportunity to work on streaming shows about sports, sports culture, and pop culture. You will work with a production team that will be tasked with producing compelling shows daily which will resonate with viewers. You will also create content each day for Outkick from these shows.

This position reports to the Outkick.com Senior Producer.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a driver of the content, development, and production for daily morning show streamed on Outkick.com and hosted by Outkick.com personalities

Work closely with team members to achieve daily, short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals

Participate in daily team meetings to develop strategies to produce shows which will drive the national sports and pop culture conversation

Generate daily guest booking ideas and help book those guests

Work to maximize our content across streaming, website, and social media platforms

Handle all aspects of pre-production (pre-taped segments, package approval, reporter scripts)

Write/copy edit scripts as needed

Guide the technical crew through each element of the show using calm and clear instructions

Keep the host on time using clear and effective cues

Monitor the aesthetics of the screen to make sure visuals support the conversation

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

At least 5 years of newsroom experience and producing/line producing a newscast

Must have a passion for and an innate knowledge of sports and sports culture

Excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in an environment where you and most may be remote

You are detail-oriented and able to work under pressure, meeting multiple daily deadlines

Strong ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television which will also translate across multiple platforms like the Outkick.com website and Outkick.com social media channels

Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
