Forward Artists is seeking an Asset Archivist to join our Art Department in Los Angeles.
The Asset Archivist is responsible for performing comprehensive image quality checks and ensuring that the collection and management of digital assets are properly tracked, requested, distributed, and archived in an accurate and timely manner throughout the complete asset lifecycle. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy, organization, and integrity of Forward's image and motion libraries across multiple divisions. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in structured workflows where accuracy is critical.
This position reports to the Director, Art Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform asset quality checks (resolution, format, color accuracy, usability)
• Rename, tag, and organize digital assets using Forward's naming conventions and taxonomy
• Maintain the internal archive with consistent metadata and clean folder structures
• Track and process incoming assets across all divisions
• Prepare and export files for portfolios, internal use, and agent requests
• Fulfill asset pulls, image research, and file deliveries as needed
• Archive all assets in a timely and organized manner
• Uphold accuracy, consistency, confidentiality, and system integrity at all times
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with digital asset management (DAM) systems, structured file naming, metadata standards, and taxonomy
• Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous eye for detail
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working against tight deadlines with consistency and accuracy
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with a calm, steady work style
• Basic understanding of digital usage rights, licensing, and intellectual property
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Bridge, Photoshop, and Lightroom for reviewing file information, checking image quality, and exporting assets (no design work required)
• Proficiency on Mac OS and Microsoft 365
• Interest in entertainment, fashion, or celebrity industries is a plus
