This is a Freelance Job
Five Cow Pictures is seeking a freelance Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to support the digital launch of our indie feature film, Future Date. This is a short-term, project-based position focused on promoting the film's release on transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) platforms.
We're looking for a proactive, creative individual with a passion for indie films and experience in social media and marketing. The ideal candidate understands indie film audiences and can develop engaging content to build excitement around Future Date's launch.
Responsibilities:
Develop a digital press kit, including high-quality stills, cast and crew bios, trailer, and film synopsis.
Create, schedule, and manage engaging social media posts across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
Conduct initial PR outreach to niche film media, bloggers, and influencers to build awareness.
Engage with genre-specific communities (sci-fi, rom-com, Asian American film) to generate organic excitement and visibility.
Qualifications:
Experience in social media marketing, ideally within film, entertainment, or a related field.
Knowledge of indie film marketing strategies and an understanding of audience-building techniques.
Strong written communication skills and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) for creating social media graphics is a plus.
Compensation: $500 for the project, with the potential for additional work if this project is successful.
