Fall Intern - Gameday Operations

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Summary:
This is a full time 3-month position responsible for performing duties related to game day or season as a whole. This position plays a key role in game day management process. Including, interaction with game day staff, fans, and community volunteers.

Accountabilities:
• Provide daily report to General Manager on assigned operations
• Prepare and maintain the concession stand on an everyday basis
• Take inventory of concession items and place orders to restock things appropriately
• Assist in game day staff management, be able to react appropriately and make decisions on the fly
• Create and apply ideas that add to the game atmosphere
• Oversee all aspects that deal with the planning and carrying out of our summer youth baseball camps
• Perform other related duties that may arise relating to the Edenton Steamers during the positions' duration

Key Interfaces:
Must relate well with people. Spanning from fans, people in the community, game day staff, and community volunteers. Must be able to interact and achieve the goals assigned.

Skills and Competencies:
A person with a friendly outlook who will not frustrate easily. Problem solving skills are a must. Outgoing, promotional minded person with ability to deal with customers. Creativity will help in designing promotions and improving ballpark atmosphere.

Education:
Looking for someone in the pursuit of a degree in a sports or business related field. This includes but is not limited to an active undergraduate/ graduate level student, to a graduate in need of some important workplace experience.

Experience:
Sports management experience is a preferable. Somebody with public relations experience will do well. A person with the necessary attitude along with work ethic will be successful in this position.
