E! News Digital is seeking a highly organized, resourceful, and motivated Production Assistant to support all E! Originals, including The Rundown, E!'s flagship digital entertainment news franchise. This role is essential in helping bring daily celebrity news coverage, exclusive interviews, red carpet content, and original digital programming to life across multiple series and platforms.
The Production Assistant will work closely with producers, editors, talent teams, and senior production staff to support all aspects of current and future E! Originals - from editorial planning and guest preparation to production logistics and post-production coordination. You'll play a key role in keeping productions organized, on schedule, and operating smoothly in a fast-paced entertainment news environment.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and fluent in digital storytelling. You should be comfortable collaborating on edit structure, handling multiple versions and exports, and supporting fast-paced productions. A strong understanding of how content performs across platforms is crucial.
This role reports to the Producer, The Rundown.
Essential Responsibilities
• Support producers with the day-to-day execution of The Rundown, including celebrity interviews, red carpet coverage, daily episodic shoots, field productions, and special digital projects.
• Assist with pre-production planning, including scheduling, brainstorming interview questions, production logistics, guest preparation, run-of-shows, and production documents.
• Create and maintain talent research packets, interview briefing materials, and background documents for celebrity guests and entertainment news coverage.
• Monitor entertainment news, social media trends, and pop culture developments to support editorial planning and content ideation.
• Serve as on-set support during productions, assisting with talent arrivals, production needs, crew coordination, and shoot execution.
• Organize project materials, production trackers, calendars, shared drives, and internal documentation.
• Support post-production workflows by ingesting media, gathering assets, tracking deliverables, organizing feedback, and uploading finished episodes to social media scheduler.
• Assist with content publishing workflows, including video uploads, post shoot submissions, and platform-specific deliverables.
• Support other original and live productions as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Production, Film, Television, or equivalent professional experience.
• 1 years of experience supporting digital media, television, production, or entertainment content teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, and Dropbox.
• Excellent written communication and copy-editing skills, with the ability to review and refine your own work for accuracy and clarity.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Fluent in TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat.
Preferred Qualifications
• Deep knowledge of celebrity news, entertainment trends, reality television, and social media culture.
• Strong research and fact-checking skills.
• Strong understanding of digital production trends and how to utilize them to optimize our series.
• Positive attitude and willingness to jump into any task, large or small.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and digital video production workflows is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
