Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Analyst to administer a centralized vendor management system, support audit research, and manage payroll and 1099 processing activities. This role provides timely service to production accounting teams and other internal partners and is expected to continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
This role provides the opportunity to develop a deep knowledge of DET, television production, and studio finance. This position requires strong analytical skills, clear communication, excellent time management, and acute attention to detail.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. They bring a collaborative mindset, respond well to change, and consistently demonstrate strong follow-through.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Vendor Management: Administer and maintain the centralized vendor database by reviewing, validating, and processing new vendor requests and vendor updates submitted by production accounting teams.
• Audit Research: Support a range of audit requests, including guild and participation audits, by gathering and organizing requested documentation and information in a timely manner.
• Development Payroll: Process weekly payroll for a small number of workers related to overall development deals and stock footage librarians, and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• 1099 Processing: Partner annually with production accounting teams to validate compensation data before submitting information to entertainment payroll providers, Entertainment Partners (EP) and Cast & Crew, for processing.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Research and respond to one-off, time-sensitive requests that require gathering and analyzing specific data for urgent business needs.
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training
• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Economics
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of production accounting processes and procedures
• Familiarity with EP and Cast & Crew software suites, as well as SAP
• Ability to manage responsibilities accurately and meet deadlines in a timely manner
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Adept at fostering and maintaining collaborative relationships
• Demonstrated process improvement mindset
Salary/Benefits
$79,100 - $96,500 /year USD
Base pay may vary depending on geographic region and job-related factors
