Contracts Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
As part of the DGA's contracts team, the Contracts Coordinator is responsible for administering the DGA's agreements, which include:
• Handling member and employer inquiries, often serving as the initial point of contact for inquiries to the DGA's New York office
• Investigating contract violations and working with members and employer representatives to resolve them
• If necessary, pursuing violations through the contract grievance process, working with colleagues in Los Angeles to ensure consistency across the organization, and with the DGA's legal department on claims referred to for arbitration
• Supporting the work of DGA executives through research and analysis
• Focusing primarily on the DGA's Basic Agreement and Commercial Agreement and member representation in these areas
• Performing other duties as assigned
What You'll Need:
• Experience in administering or reviewing contracts, preferably, collective bargaining agreements. However, exceptional entry-level candidates with a commitment to working for unions will also be considered.
• Driven and self-motivated; able to work independently as well as under supervised direction
• Ability to maintain regular in-office business hours, and attend occasional prescheduled meetings/events outside of regular business hours
• Highly organized and able to handle competing priorities and deadlines
• Ability to analyze information and frame issues
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Commitment to collective bargaining and union representation required
• Excellent interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
• Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged
• A bachelor's degree is required

**This role will require the candidate to work on-site in our New York office.
Salary/Benefits
