Reality TV Colorist

We currently have an opening for a Reality TV Colorist. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.

Summary:

The Reality TV Colorist will oversee and perform color correction on television shows at Deluxe’s Hollywood Way operation. The ideal candidate is a colorist with a track record of excellence and the ability to seamlessly shift between color correction and Avid editorial platforms to finish/master the show. Will be able to visualize the scope of a project, evaluate and estimate jobs, and interact with clients in sessions.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with internal Post Production Supervisor, editor(s) and support staff to create high quality deliverables for Reality television programming.

- Perform scene to scene color correction, noise reduction and image enhancement (as required).

- Interact with clients in supervised sessions to interpret and meet their prescribed specifications.

- QC files for errors such as color pops, missed color or bad render.

- Troubleshoot any issues that may delay the conclusion of a job.

Requirements:

- 3-5 years colorist experience on reality TV with demonstrable show credits.

- Extensive experience with Resolve color correction platform is preferred.

- Must be proficient in Avid.

- Ability to identify and correct errors.

- Must be technically competent, able to output tapes, understand frame Rates, compressions and resolutions.

- Ability to work in dynamic team environment and deliver under tight delivery deadlines.

- Exceptional interpersonal and client management skills.
