About the Opportunity – Access Services Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience across a number of areas in a busy broadcast environment servicing some of the UK's biggest brands. Access Services Assistants will work across live and pre-recorded work supporting teams in the creation and delivery of broadcast subtitles for global sporting events, and award-winning films and drama series.
Overview of responsibilities:
- Receiving source files from broadcasters and studios
- Packaging and delivery of subtitle files to playout
- Sourcing archive material for repeat transmission
- Processing schedules and creating work orders
- Working with clients to manage schedule changes and ensuring that changes are communicated to team members
- Resource management: allocating work to subtitlers and ensuring tasks are completed on-time to maintain on-time delivery
- Delivery of source material to subtitlers and home workers
- Checking and processing subtitles to client specs
- Acting as a first line of support to provide updates to clients and staff
The person:
The successful candidate will have the following core skills:
- Effective time management and multi-tasking skills
- A self-starter attitude and ability to manage a varied workload
- Ability to manage your workload effectively sometimes with limited supervision
- Ability to react quickly and constructively in order to troubleshoot problems.
- A calm, methodical and professional manner under pressure.
- A demonstrable client-first mentality
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and standard of spelling grammar and punctuation
- Ability to learn new technology and software (e.g. subtitling software and resource scheduling systems)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and all-round strong IT skills
The role will be based at Deluxe's main office in Perivale, Middlesex and will require weekend work and some coverage of late/early shifts. The role is also full-time, but not a permanent position.
