VFX Producer
Confidential
Los Angeles, CAThis is a Full Time Job
The Role: We are seeking a highly organized and unflappable VFX Producer to join our commercial post-production team. In the fast-paced world of advertising, you will be the linchpin holding everything together-managing rapid-fire schedules, tight budgets, and high- profile agency clients. You will work side-by-side with our team to ensure we deliver premium visual effects, on time and on budget, while maintaining exceptional client relationships.
What You'll Do:
• Bidding & Budgeting: Break down creative boards/treatments, generate accurate commercial bids, and manage the project budget from the initial award through to final actualization.
• Schedule Management: Navigate the fast turnarounds typical of commercial post. Build and maintain realistic schedules for 2D, 3D, and finishing teams, ensuring critical milestones and air dates are always met.
• Agency & Client Relations: Serve as the face of the studio for agency producers, creatives, and directors. Manage client expectations, run review sessions, and foster a collaborative, positive environment.
• Resource Coordination: Work closely with the Head of Production and department leads to book the right talent (staff and freelance) for each campaign.
• Workflow Tracking: Track all shots and assets through the pipeline, ensuring artists have what they need to succeed and that feedback is clearly communicated.
• Financial Tracking: Keep a close eye on scope creep. Proactively flag out-of-scope requests, negotiate overages when necessary, and ensure timely final billing.
What You Bring:
• Commercial Experience: 5 + years of experience producing visual effects specifically in a commercial post-production environment. You understand the unique rhythm and demands of advertising. Experience handling fully integrated campaigns that include color grading, editorial, and audio mix
• Bidding Chops: Strong experience estimating VFX costs and a solid understanding of the bidding process (knowledge of AICP guidelines is a huge plus).
• Client Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of handling demanding clients with grace and diplomacy.
• Technical Understanding: A solid grasp of 2D, 3D, and Flame/Finishing workflows so you can effectively communicate between technical artists and non-technical clients.
