Substack Content & Community Manager

About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and creative individual to help manage and grow a recipe-focused Substack page. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in cooking, understands the Substack platform inside and out, and excels at written communication.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building online communities, engaging with readers, and ensuring high-quality content is published consistently and thoughtfully.

Responsibilities
Schedule and publish approved newsletters, recipes, and other content within Substack.
Review content for formatting, grammar, and readability prior to publication.
Engage with subscribers by responding to comments and fostering meaningful conversations.
Help cultivate a welcoming and active community around the publication.
Collaborate with the creator to organize and maintain the editorial calendar.
Monitor Substack trends, features, and best practices to help maximize audience engagement.
Track basic performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve subscriber interaction and retention.
Assist with light content updates or revisions as needed to ensure a polished reader experience.

Qualifications
Strong understanding of the Substack platform and how it functions.
Exceptional written communication skills with excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail.
Passion for cooking, recipes, and food-related content.
Experience managing online communities or engaging with audiences in a thoughtful and professional manner.
Highly organized with the ability to manage publishing schedules and deadlines.
Familiarity with newsletter publishing, digital content, or creator-led brands is a plus.
