Podcast (Video/Audio) Freelancer
Confidential
San Francisco, CAThis is a Freelance Job
Freelance Video Producer & Editor (Founder Interviews)
The Role: I am looking for a versatile, San Francisco-based freelance ''one-man band'' to own the end-to-end production of a new interview series featuring early-stage founders. You will be responsible for both the technical side of filming and the creative side of editing long-form conversations into high-impact digital content.
Location: San Francisco, CA (In-person for shoots; remote for editing).
What You'll Do:
Film the Interviews: Set up and execute high-quality video and audio recordings for 1-on-1 interviews with founders. You should be comfortable managing lighting, camera angles, and sound on-site.
Own the Edit: Transform raw, long-form footage into a polished ''master'' episode.
Create Social Clips: Identify the most ''viral'' or insightful 30-90 second moments and turn them into platform-native vertical videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts).
Platform Optimization: Incorporate clean captions, motion graphics, and fast-paced editing styles that stop the scroll.
Visual Identity: Help establish a consistent ''look and feel'' for the series that feels premium yet authentic to the startup world.
What I'm Looking For:
The Gear & the Skills: You have your own professional kit (4K cameras, lighting, audio) and are an expert in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
Editorial Eye: You can listen to a 45-minute technical conversation and intuitively find the 3 segments that will perform best on social media.
Speed & Reliability: You're a freelancer who manages your own time, hits deadlines, and communicates proactively.
Interest in Tech/Startups: You understand the ''founder'' vibe-you know how to make an interview feel professional but energetic.
Please send a link to your portfolio or reel and your hourly rate. Specifically point out any ''talking head'' or podcast-style content you have filmed and edited.
