This is a Freelance Job
Independent musician | New Orleans, LA
What you'd actually be doing:
Most of the job (about 70%) is content.
You're around for the day, shooting Snapchat, TikTok, IG, and YouTube as things unfold. Mostly vertical, mostly on his phone. You've got a feel for the moment that'll play, and sometimes you're directing it (''you look great right here, smile real quick''). From there it's some light editing, posting, and helping build a rhythm so things go out consistently.
The other 30% is keeping life moving.
He moves fast and thinks faster. Things slip. You're the person who keeps track of what slips and either handles it or brings it back up later. Not nagging, just tracking. So if he mentions something he needs to deal with and then walks away, you write it down and follow through.
Other things that fall in here: errands, coffee runs, light scheduling, helping sort through his inbox in person and flagging anything time-sensitive (no independent account access), and some dog stuff here and there.
You'd probably be great at this if:
You actually use Snapchat, TikTok, IG, and YouTube and you have a feel for what plays
You're warm and easy to be around without needing to perform
You're cool being on camera occasionally without wanting to be the main character
You're naturally organized in a way that helps someone with a busy brain without making it feel managed
You're comfortable in music industry settings (late nights, alcohol around) and know how to read a room
Bonus, not required: experience supporting other creatives, musicians, athletes, or public-facing folks. Tour assistants, content coordinators, EAs in entertainment, anyone who's worked in someone's orbit before. We want to hear from you.
This might not be for you if:
You're building your own creator brand and quietly hoping this becomes part of it
You need a clean 9 to 5
You're already a fan or follower
We're not asking you to give up your life outside of work. We just want someone whose focus here is on supporting the work, not using it as a stepping stone.
The setup:
The role starts with a 2 to 4 week paid trial so both sides can feel it out before committing long term. Sundays are off. Other days flex around the work, and some nights and weekends come with the territory. This is in person in New Orleans, with travel for shows when needed.
Things you'll need:
To live in or near New Orleans
A valid Louisiana license and a clean driving record (you'll occasionally drive his car)
To be okay with a background check and signing an NDA at offer
