The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Flame Assistant to join our Finishing/VFX team. In this role, you will be the technical and creative backbone for our Senior Flame Artists, ensuring that finishing sessions run smoothly from start to delivery. What You'll Do:
• Conform & Prep: Import, manage, and conform media (using EDLs, XMLs, AAFs) into Autodesk Flame. Prepare projects for Senior Artists by organizing timelines, slates, and graphics.
• VFX Assistance: Perform foundational compositing tasks including roto, tracking, paint, cleanup, matte extraction, and basic beauty work.
• Data & Workflow Management: Manage media transcoding, archiving, and project restores. Keep the storage systems organized and efficient.
• Deliverables & QC: Create work-in-progress (WIP) postings for client review. Perform rigorous technical and creative Quality Control (QC) on final exports before delivery.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of defense for software issues, media offline problems, and color pipeline (e.g., ACES, Rec.709) questions.

What You Bring:
• Flame Experience: Foundational working knowledge of Autodesk Flame. You know your way around the interface, action, and batch workflows.
• Post-Production Knowledge: A strong understanding of finishing workflows, frame rates, aspect ratios, video codecs, and compression techniques.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with DaVinci Resolve and the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop) is highly preferred.
• Eye for Detail: You possess a strong eye for composition, color, and lighting, and you consider yourself a perfectionist when it comes to QC.
• Proactive Attitude: Excellent communication skills, a team-player mentality, and the ability to thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines.
