Fall Intern - Marketing, Hip Hop/Rap Music

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Objective:
This internship will assist the Marketing Team with a variety of social media and marketing initiatives by developing, maintaining and expanding marketing channels. Interns will utilize academic training, word of mouth marketing, Internet marketing techniques and social media to increase traffic, brand awareness, and outreach.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with social media engagement by helping manage multiple social channels.
• Monitor social media web analytics on a weekly basis (e.g. page views, followers), and provide reports of growth and other activity.
• Leverage social networks to strengthen relationships with existing brands and increase the number of collaborations.
• Engage with marketing team on a regular basis to brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing and social media campaigns.
• Research industry-specific sites (blogs, forums, etc) for promotions, comments and other relevant marketing information.
• Utilize Blogging, SEO and social networking to raise web presence and placement on web searches.

Requirements:
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and other social media platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Preferred Majors: Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Music Business

Reporting Relationship:
This position reports directly to the Project Manager.

Working Hours: 10 - 20 Hours Weekly*
*Schedule varies on availability. Can work remotely or in office. Would like applicant to meet in office at least once a week.
