Music Business, Label Marketing & Operations Intern
Internship Start: Week of September 7th
Internship End: Week of December 14th
Time/Days Required: 2 Days Per Week [6 Hours per Day]

We are seeking a highly motivated Music Business, Label Marketing & Operations Intern to work directly with the company's Head of Operations / COO and provide support across our label, business operations, music catalog and rights management, executive office, and recording facility functions.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional internship designed for an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in music business, entertainment business, business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
This is not a passive internship. The intern will be an active contributor to the company's day-to-day operations and will gain exposure to both the creative and business sides of the music industry. Responsibilities will include assisting with label marketing initiatives, release related projects, business and operational tasks, executive support, catalog administration, rights management, and the operations of our recording facility.
The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, proactive, resourceful, detail oriented, and genuinely interested in understanding how a modern music company operates.
- Responsibilities & Scope of Work -
Label Marketing & Music Business Support:
• Conduct research on artists, releases, music markets, industry trends, competitors, and promotional opportunities.
• Research industry developments and provide summaries and insights to leadership.
• Support special marketing and business development projects led by the Head of Operations / CEO.
Executive Support & Scheduling:
• Manage and maintain calendars for executive-level leadership, including scheduling internal and external meetings.
• Take and distribute meeting notes and action items and follow up on outstanding tasks as directed.
• Assist with executive correspondence, emails, communications, and follow-up.
• Coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, and logistics for executive team members as needed.
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive business, financial, artist, contractual, and deal-related information.
Business & Operations Support:
• Assist in tracking and managing ongoing projects, deal timelines, operational priorities, and internal deadlines.
Support day-to-day business operations and administrative logistics.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, contractors, and business partners as directed.
• Maintain and organize shared internal files, databases, project trackers, and operational documentation.
• Research industry trends, competitive landscapes, market developments, and potential business opportunities.
Music Catalog & Rights Management Support:
• Assist in organizing and maintaining rights management records, ownership documentation, and metadata for recording and publishing assets.
• Help track licensing activity, royalty participation structures, co-publishing arrangements, and deal terms across the catalog portfolio.

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in music business, entertainment business, business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional and polished in interactions with executives, artists, managers, and industry professionals.
• Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Gmail, and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
•Familiarity with project management or task-tracking tools such as Asana.
•Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential executive and business information.
•Genuine interest in the music industry and desire to understand the business behind music.
•Comfortable working in an in-office environment and contributing to a fast-moving team.
