Job Description
CNBC's Events & Councils team is seeking an experienced news producer to support our growing stable of multi-platform editorial franchises and executive membership communities.
The Producer will join a team of producers and editors who publish weekly newsletters, write articles, shoot and edit videos, and craft social media posts based to complement, enhance and extend CNBC Events content, as well as maintain an ongoing editorial connection between the CNBC Events & Councils team, and the c-suite executives who make up the CNBC Councils communities.
Responsibilities:
• Write and produce content for weekly newsletters. The team currently produces six weekly newsletters across CNBC Events and Councils. The producer will play a key role in supporting newsletter content development and production.
• Plan and execute content amplification strategies for CNBC Events across TV, digital and social platforms.
• Write and report stories for CNBC.com in support of Events and Councils brands to ensure brand continuity and community engagement.
• Edit and publish clips from CNBC Event stages.
• Collaborate across the Events & Councils team as needed to provide editorial support to all events.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of multiplatform news experience, including a combination of writing, shooting, editing or producing.
• Experience covering key business news verticals including technology and AI, finance, economics, global trade, and future of work.
• Exceptional journalistic instincts
• Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
