JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the '2026-27 Seasonal Assistant, Marketing' will be responsible for supporting key Marketing priorities that are inclusive of, but not limited to, Cavs game night activations, Fan Engagement Marketing initiatives, Customer Service-related inquiries and more!
* This is a temporary position from September 2026 - June 2027, that will work onsite at Rocket Arena approx. 40 hours per week.
* Local candidates strongly preferred. There is not relocation assistance or temporary housing provided for non-local candidates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages fan mail requests through an organized and efficient process that leaves a positive impression on Cavs fans.
• Assists the Marketing Team with the setup and breakdown of the Cavaliers' concourse experience at home games.
• Assists the Marketing Team with executing Cavs Kids Club events and membership pack distribution.
• Assists with capturing and creating content for Cavs United social media accounts.
• Assists in the marketing and fulfillment of Cavs Commemorative Tickets.
• Collaborates with the Marketing Team to plan and activate All For Fun Tour community events.
• Assists the Marketing Team with the distribution of Cavaliers promotional giveaways.
• Responsible for ordering and keeping a running inventory of autographed items and Team Member apparel for the Marketing Department.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders in the organization to create Promotional Night recaps and presentations
• Assists with Cavs promotions and theme nights, seasonal celebrations, and ongoing fan engagement Marketing initiatives.
• Collaborates and communicates often with Team Members across various departments about ongoing projects.
• Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as requested.
• Assist with preparing documents, scheduling meetings, and office operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University (or currently pursuing a BS Degree). Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays. Including but not limited to all Cavs Home Games, Post-Season Game and events, community activations and others where assistance is needed.
• Maintains a fan-first attitude ensuring strong positive engagement occurs amongst game and event attendees.
• Strong verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Highly motivated, energetic, and passionate.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
• Photography and Social Media experience is preferred.
