This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Clear Lake & Fever Recording Studios in North Hollywood, CA are offering a three month internship opportunity for the up-and-coming recording studio engineer and recording school student.
Our internship program gives the opportunity to immerse yourselves in real-time commercial studio work. Our interns get hands-on experience with studio tech work, session setup, sit in on sessions, and using the studios during downtime (after a trial period).
The program spans a 14-week time period; A two-week training will be held from April 1 - 11, 2026. Afterwards, the 12-week program will be from April 12 - July 4, 2026. We are looking for interns who can commit to three 8-hour shifts per week, including nights and weekends. Scheduling is flexible.

We are considering applicants who are already located in Los Angeles Metropolitan Area.
Duties:
• Supporting engineering staff with session setup and tear-down of recording sessions
• Keeping the facility stocked, clean, organized, and functional
• Assisting with client services: check-in, general questions, food accommodations
• Assisting management with answering, routing, and documenting calls
• General tech, office, and maintenance assistance as needed
What you will learn:
• Advanced signal flow
• Microphone setup and techniques
• How to utilize software plug-ins
• How to utilize analogue outboard gear
• Recording, editing, and mixing techniques
• Session time management and meeting the client's goals for the session
• How to conduct a session from start to finish
• Troubleshooting analogue and digital equipment
• Day-to-day operations of a high-end recording studio
• Etiquette and professionalism when dealing with creative projects and high-profile clients
Requirements:
• Must be a student or former student from an audio engineer, post production, or music business program
• Be proficient in Pro Tools
• Know basic signal flow
• Studio etiquette and professionalism
• Must be able to commit at least 24 hours per week
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Not required, but plus:
• Proficient in other DAW's
• Musician
• Previous employment in the service industry, customer service, or high-end recording studios
• Eligible for school credits
