Video Encoding Engineer

Description:

The Video Encoding Engineer is responsible for encoding digital media content and conducting QC of files while still adhering to tight weekly deadlines. The candidate should be used to a high-demand workflow environment.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 3+ years experience in the following areas:
• MPEG2, VC-1, H.264, Windows Media
• SD & HD
• Video processing – i.e. filtering, de-interlacing, etc.
• Test encoding & validation of files using video analyzers
• Audio/Video QC and Troubleshooting
• File Transfer: FTP/SFTP/Aspera
• Documenting specs and processes
• Asset management & multi-tasking
• Microsoft Excel and Word experience
Candidate should show attention to detail and have the ability to communicate status and issues to team members. He/she should also have the ability to learn unfamiliar video tools and processes. Encoding Engineer applicant should also have a discriminating eye for video quality.
Candidates who are able to work swing shifts or possibly weekends will be given higher priority.
