Type: Full-Time
We’re looking for a computer savvy self-starter who thrives in a client-facing environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Due to the unpredictable nature of our clients’ scheduling needs, requiring some late nights and weekend work, candidates located near Culver City are strongly preferred.
Prior experience with DCP creation is not required, but a meticulous, troubleshooting approach is. We are willing to train the right candidate, particularly those with a background in DIT work and editing software such as Resolve, Premiere, or Avid.
Key Responsibilities
+ Create and verify quick-turnaround DCPs for work-in-progress feature films in collaboration with Assistant Editors, Post Production Supervisors, and filmmakers
+ Communicate directly with clients via phone, email, and in-person for technical consultations and support
+ Operate and assist with basic setup of our in-house screening room (no projectionist-level experience required)
+ Troubleshoot post-production software and hardware
+ Research and recommend new tools, systems, and post-production workflows
+ During slower periods, assist with IT support, workflow development, warehouse organization, and other facility tasks
+ Safely transport and move heavy rolling equipment carts between locations and on studio lots, including navigating hills, ramps, and hallways
What We’re Looking For
+ Post-production background (editing, mastering, encoding, etc.)
+ Comfortable using and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and MacOS (Linux and command line experience is a plus)
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with directors, producers, studio executives, and other high-level clients
+ Calm under pressure with strong organizational and time management skills
+ Able to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
+ Must have a valid driver’s license
+ Physical ability to move and transport heavy rolling equipment carts
+ Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
Bonus Points For
+ Experience with Clipster, Colorfront Transkoder, DaVinci Resolve, Avid, Adobe Premiere
+ Experience with command line tools and writing/bug-fixing code in Python, Perl, PHP, or Bash/ZSH
+ Familiarity with basic color science, media file types, and deliverables: MXF, IMF, ProRes, DNxHD, Dolby Vision/Atmos
+ Knowledge of computer networking, storage systems, and finishing infrastructure (maintenance and setup)
+ Prior experience at a finishing, mastering, or high-end post facility
+ Prior experience in a customer service or teaching role
