The Marketing Operations Coordinator supports CBS Sports Marketing by managing promotional materials, maintaining department systems, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and overseeing invoices and vendor documentation. The role also assists with marketing material production, tracks key updates from the Programming and PR teams, and provides administrative support as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in creation of, and maintain inventory of, promotional merchandise and materials including but not limited to quality control and brand management
• Interface with internal divisions within CBS Sports, external divisions of Paramount, other leagues and properties, as well as marketing vendors
• Support the in-house marketing and design team by maintaining overall department Airtable base and SharePoint with schedule updates and any other support needed
• Submit invoices for payment and maintain tracker of invoice status
• Assist in the production of marketing materials for Sales and Distribution teams, Client Event teams, or other departments as needed. Ensure that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategies
• Assist Creative Content / On-Air Promos team with operational tasks as needed
• Keep Marketing and Creative Services department up to date on any Programming and PR updates
• Assist team members with day-to-day marketing tasks and coordinating marketing projects and activities as requested
• Maintain files and information for key vendors such as contacts, quotes, RFPs, etc.
• Support EVP of Marketing with administrative duties including expenses, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, creating agendas for departmental meetings and other miscellaneous projects
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 2 years of relevant marketing experience (strong internships will be considered)
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Confident and outgoing personality, well organized, and self-motivated with the ability to problem solve
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
• Passion for marketing, sports, and television. Experience in sports or media industry is a plus.
• Must have a solid understanding of major pro and college sports, with understanding of latest news. Familiarity with sports properties covered by CBS Sports is required
• Fluent in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint). Knowledge of Airtable and Google suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets) is a plus
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
