Overview and Responsibilities:

Talk Pittsburgh, KDKA-TV's popular afternoon news & talk show, is looking for a full-time producer! This person will assist with the development & execution of the daily hour-long show, while supporting ratings & revenue goals. The ideal candidate is a creative writer, visual problem solver, collaborative teammate, and organized producer who has a curiosity for current events and culture. You'll build a rundown, schedule guests, write scripts, make editorial decisions and assist in the overall production of a daily fast-paced, fun-filled hour of local television.

Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Stacking, writing, and timing the show from the studio control booth
• Assist in the production of news/talk content tailored to a news and current events-oriented audience
• Pitch, book and vet guests for lifestyle and topical segments, including client-based sponsored segments
• Field produces live remote productions
• Produce social and digital content
• Write and produce promotional content
• Manage a team of creative and on-air talent to produce a daily show

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven track record of producing content
• College degree
• Excellent communication skills, both oral & written for broadcasting and digital platforms
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and multi-task
• Knowledge of video asset management
• Experience working with line-item producing, back-timing
• Proficient in ordering graphics with LUCI/Chyron systems
• Familiarity with iNews and Grass Valley/Stratus systems
