This is a Full Time Paid Internship
Role Details:
The CBS Interactive Project Management Office is looking for a project manager/scrum master intern to align with our software development teams. You strive to be a solution provider, change-agent, expert of jugglers, and keeper of the agile process assisting scrum teams under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager. You'll get hands-on experience working with project teams and assist the project manager to keep an eye on the delivery goals while utilizing project tools like Jira and Confluence. This role is looking for a candidate who loves the Scrum Master role, is enthusiastic to learn new things, speaks up when it's needed, is highly self-organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, fun, multi-tasking environment! The candidate has an ability to learn what it takes to handle complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders, and a diverse team of collaborators.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Attend Scrum Ceremonies and other key meetings with the Senior Project Manager
• Interact with software development cross-functional teams; composed of development engineers, QA, a product manager, an engineering manager, and design resource
• Assist in the creation of project plans, documentation, risk mitigation, and resource management as needed for cross-team initiatives and large projects/programs
• Proactively communicate with Senior Project Manager and seek to apply project management processes and methodologies to current project teams
• Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Logistics:
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
• Full-time, 40 hours a week
Qualifications:
Required:
• A proactive, efficient, and resourceful communicator with the ability to thrive in a creative and deadline-driven environment
• Experience managing teams of any kind, in a high-pressure environment
• Familiarity with Scrum / Agile Methodologies
• Have working knowledge of technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, IOS, and/or ANDROID
• Experience working with Google Suite
• Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Product Management or another related degree
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or boot camp
• Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred:
• Knowledge of Streaming Platforms and how they work
• Knowledge of Slack, Jira, Confluence a plus
• Desire to achieve or have acquired a Scrum Master or Project Management Certificate
• Worked with or developed Android or Apple applications
• Basic proficiency with standard software development cycles
