Job Description
Who We are
The Role
The Technical Producer is a senior individual contributor responsible for the hands-on technical execution of high-profile events, with primary responsibility for delivering events in the Los Angeles headquarters flagship screening room. This role also plays a critical part in defining and scaling a global technical event support model, ensuring consistent, studio-grade delivery across internal and external events worldwide. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Technical Producer serves as the technical authority during live events, working across advanced platforms including Ross, Crestron NVX, ETC lighting, Wowza streaming, Dolby Vision and Atmos, Meyer Constellation, and Cisco RoomOS endpoints. Success in this role requires deep technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to perform confidently in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary technical producer for events in the Los Angeles headquarters flagship screening room, supporting high-profile screenings, live events, panels, broadcasts, and hybrid experiences.
• Act as the hands-on technical owner for event execution, responsible for end-to-end delivery including pre-production planning, system configuration, show execution, and post-event wrap-up.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients, creatives, executives, and partners, serving as a trusted technical advisor for high-profile and talent-facing events.
• Establish and evolve a scalable technical service model for delivering internal and external events globally, defining execution standards, workflows, and technical requirements.
• Lead technical planning and execution for events across audio, video, lighting, playback, streaming, and collaboration platforms, utilizing systems such as Ross video switching, Crestron NVX, QuickLink solutions, ETC theatrical lighting, and Wowza streaming infrastructure.
• Operate and integrate premium cinema and event technologies including Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, Meyer Constellation, and Cisco RoomOS endpoints to deliver studio-grade experiences.
• Serve as the on-site technical authority during events, making real-time decisions and resolving issues quickly in high-pressure, live environments.
• Collaborate closely with AV Operations, AV Engineering, UC teams, Facilities, and Creative partners to ensure systems are event-ready and aligned with technical standards.
• Manage and coordinate external production vendors and freelancers as needed, ensuring quality execution and adherence to defined technical requirements.
• Support virtual and hybrid events using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex, including integration with in-room AV, broadcast, and streaming systems.
• Develop and maintain technical runbooks, SOPs, and execution playbooks to support repeatable, high-quality event delivery globally.
• Provide post-event reporting and technical debriefs, identifying risks, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior event operators or technicians during events, providing technical leadership without formal people management responsibility.
Qualifications
• 7–10+ years of experience in technical event production within corporate, studio, broadcast, or high-end live event environments.
• Proven hands-on experience executing live events, screenings, and broadcasts, not just coordinating or managing vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to support high-profile, executive, or talent-facing events with exceptional customer service, professionalism, and discretion in high-visibility environments.
• Strong technical knowledge across professional audio systems, video switching, playback, cameras, lighting control, AV routing, and streaming workflows.
• Direct experience operating or integrating platforms such as Ross, Crestron NVX, QuickLink, ETC lighting systems, Wowza streaming, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, Meyer Constellation, and Cisco RoomOS endpoints.
• Extensive experience supporting high-visibility events with executive, talent, or external audiences.
• Strong working knowledge of Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and hybrid event execution in enterprise environments.
• Ability to operate autonomously and confidently as the technical decision-maker during live events.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear expectations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience operating in a flagship screening room or premium event venue with complex, integrated AV and cinema systems.
• Advanced understanding of signal flow, routing, redundancy planning, and failover strategies in live production environments.
• Experience collaborating with vendors on specialized production support, rentals, and system enhancements.
• Familiarity with broadcast-style workflows including recording, streaming, and multi-source productions.
• Experience developing SOPs, runbooks, or execution standards for repeatable event delivery.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for event-related incident tracking and post-event reporting.
• Familiarity with Jira and Agile workflows for roadmap input, backlog grooming, or service planning collaboration.
