Summer Intern - Character Design

We’re looking for a Character Artist Intern who loves creating characters with personality, whether that’s through illustration, expression sheets, styling, world-building, or visual storytelling. If you’re constantly sketching characters, building little universes in your head, or obsessing over animated films, games, toys, or internet culture, you’ll probably fit right in here.

This internship is meant to be hands-on. You won’t just be observing, you’ll be collaborating with artists, contributing ideas, helping shape real projects, and building portfolio work along the way.

What You’ll Do

Help develop characters for studio projects
Create sketches, expressions, poses, turnarounds, and style explorations
Pull visual references and contribute to moodboards and creative research
Collaborate with designers, animators, and creative director
Assist with pitch decks and concept development
Help prep artwork and assets for production
Sit in on reviews, brainstorms, and creative conversations
Occasionally help with general studio tasks and production support
What We’re Looking For

Someone who genuinely loves character design and animation
Strong drawing and visual storytelling instincts
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator)
Interest in animation, motion design, toys, games, internet culture, or entertainment
Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
Organized, communicative, and self-motivated
Comfortable taking feedback and iterating quickly
A “no job is too small” mindset
Bonus points if you’re weirdly competitive at ping pong
