Part-Time Sync Metadata & Catalog Management Intern
Position: Part-Time Intern - Sync Metadata & Catalog Management
Location: Remote online
Hours: Approximately 10-15 hours per week
Duration:3-4 months or longer if desired
Blue Avenue Music Group is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented intern to support our Sync Licensing Division with music metadata, catalog organization, rights information, and administrative support.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning the operational side of sync licensing, music publishing, music supervision, copyright, and catalog management while gaining hands-on music industry experience.
Responsibilities
• Organize and maintain our sync music catalog
• Review incoming music submissions
• Enter and update song metadata
• Organize WAVs, MP3s, instrumentals, clean versions, alternate mixes, lyrics, and related assets
• Track song titles, artists, ISRCs, release dates, BPM, genres, moods, themes, instrumentation, and keywords
• Maintain songwriter, publisher, PRO, IPI/CAE, master ownership, and publishing split information
• Identify missing or conflicting metadata and ownership details
• Help categorize songs for film, television, advertising, trailers, games, and digital media opportunities
• Maintain catalog spreadsheets and databases
• Assist with catalog audits and quality-control checks
• Help prepare playlists and collections for sync briefs
• Support song pitching and catalog-status tracking
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable with Google Sheets, Excel, or databases
• Able to follow systems and naming conventions
• Reliable and comfortable working independently
• Good at identifying missing or inconsistent information
• Passionate about music and interested in the business behind it
• Eager to learn about sync licensing and music rights
Previous professional music industry experience is not required. Experience or coursework in music business, publishing, copyright, sync licensing, artist management, or catalog management is a plus.
