Senior Correspondent

Billboard is hiring a Senior Correspondent to cover the news, events, products, tools and market dynamics shaping today's creator economy. We are seeking a fast, sharp writer, intrepid investigator and experienced video content creator to report from the front lines on everything music creators need to know to in order to grow their businesses and sustain their careers. This person will develop close relationships with top execs across music and tech, test and review creator tools and services, attend and cover industry events, and produce shortform video to accompany written articles.

Responsibilities:
• Produce daily shortform videos and articles for music-creator audience
• Break news on key trends and developments for content creators
• Cover creator-focused events
• Cultivate a wide range of sources across music, tech and streaming companies
• Test and review creator tools and services
• Contribute to team editorial projects from power lists to special issues
• Cultivate and track audience growth

Requirements:
• A clear, fast writer and video producer who can break down complicated topics for a broad creator audience
• Familiar with and fascinated by the music business
• Savvy user of music and video production tools and platforms
• Great communicator, intrepid reporter, and passionate about breaking and making news
• Resourceful researcher who loves tracking down details, reading the fine print and getting to the truth
• An experienced, natural shortform content creator who loves educating and engaging audience on social platforms
• Results-oriented community builder

Typical wage range: $110k - $115k. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
