Location: Los Angeles (in-person required)
Type: Freelance / Contract
Schedule: Shoot-day and project-based (potential for recurring work)
About the Role:
We're looking for a reliable freelance Production Assistant to support in-person podcast and YouTube productions in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for someone who has been on real sets, understands production flow, and is eager to support smooth, efficient shoot days. You'll work closely with producers, directors, and technical crew to keep productions organized, on schedule, and moving forward.
This is not a remote role and not a purely administrative position - you'll be on set.
What You'll Do:
• Support on-site production for podcast and YouTube shoots
• Assist with setup and breakdown (audio, video, lights, and general set needs)
• Manage day-of logistics: check-ins, timing, notes, and general coordination
• Help maintain a calm, professional environment on set
• Handle production errands and troubleshooting as needed
• Take clear notes during recordings when requested (timestamps, pickups, resets)
What We're Looking For:
• Some hands-on experience on podcast, YouTube, or video sets
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, in-person production environments
• Punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
• Positive, solutions-oriented attitude
• Able to take direction and anticipate needs
• Based in Los Angeles and available for on-site work
Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with basic audio or video equipment
• Experience supporting multi-camera podcast or interview shoots
• Interest in growing into producer or coordinator roles over time
Why This Role Is a Good Fit:
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants consistent, real-world production experience and to work alongside a senior creative team. As productions grow, there's room for expanded responsibility and recurring work for the right person.
