Overview:

Audacy Detroit is in search of part time on-air talent! We’re looking for a passionate alternative music fan who can creatively share their love for the format with our growing Detroit audience in the studio, through social media and in the community.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Host weekend/fill-in air shifts
• Engage with fans at events, sales appearances and remote broadcasts
• Create content for station socials, focusing on both alternative music and Detroit
• Protect the station’s FCC license
• Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift
• Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
• Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:
• Must have a thorough understanding of the alternative format, audience and lifestyle
• Must be an excellent communicator and collaborator with a strong work ethic
• Must have a working knowledge of the equipment and technical systems necessary for on-air execution, including automation systems such as Wide Orbit
• Experience with on-air and/or digital content creation preferred
• Familiarity with the Detroit local music scene and concert venues a plus
• Must have knowledge of FCC rules and regulations
• A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicants own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required

Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Majority of work will involve speaking into a microphone and operating a computer keyboard
• Job may require on site broadcasts where tables/equipment may need to be set up/broken down
