Social Media Assistant | Atlanta Hawks

As a Social Media Assistant for the Atlanta Hawks, you will play an essential role in capturing dynamic content for social media platforms. Working closely with the social media team, your primary responsibility will be to capture real-time content through vertical video on iPhone during Hawks games and other events. You will help bring the Hawks' brand to life through creative storytelling and on-the-spot content creation.

Responsibilities:
• Capture real-time content, primarily using vertical video on iPhone, for the Atlanta Hawks and other brand accounts (Skyhawks, State Farm Arena)
• Create visual assets for social media posts using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other software
• Write engaging copy for social media posts
• Provide social media coverage for Hawks games and other events
• Attend games, community events, and other activities to gather content
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for content ideation
• Stay updated on social media trends to keep content fresh and relevant
• Assist with additional projects as needed

Qualifications:
• Academic or work experience in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
• Knowledge of basketball and pop culture
• Strong interest in social media trends and platforms
• Familiarity with social media post metrics
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently
• Strong team collaboration skills
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Education and Experience:
