Intern - Film/TV/Literary Development

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

We're hiring interns ASAP for a 100% remote internship that will last 16 weeks. This virtual internship involves a full range of assistance in the Film/TV and publishing businesses for Dr. Kenneth Atchity's several Story Merchant companies: Story Merchant (including Story Merchant Books), Atchity Productions, and The Writer's Lifeline, Inc.

Specifically, interns will primarily provide 'coverage of screenplays and novels (manuscripts) under consideration for representation and/or production. Skills in creating social media posts, social media management, scheduling, etc are also a plus. Other tasks may include opportunities to do proposal research, film/TV market research, and other duties specific to literary publishing and film/television projects on the Story Merchant publishing slate or the Atchity Productions Development Slate.

Those with experience in the field, those who have done coverage before, or who have studied film and/or literature in school will be considered for the internship above those with little to no experience. Opportunity will be sought to further educate the intern in the commercial literary and film industry fields.

Requirements:
-Returning coverage in a timely manner, energy, drive, responsibility, and a command of literacy in English are essentials.
Intern must be familiar with WORD, MS Excel, Final Draft, Google Drive, and social networking.
-Must commit to completing at least one coverage minimum per week (anywhere from 2-8 hours)
-Must commit to a minimum of sixteen weeks, though longer internships, if for academic credit or career coaching opportunities, are particularly welcome.
