Search for Assistant to a Literary Manager and Producer jobs in Culver City-CA
We are looking for an experienced Assistant to a Literary Manager and Producer who has a genuine passion for being a part of our mission. This position will be supporting two Executives located in our Culver City office and may be asked to be in the office on a hybrid schedule (days in-office to be determined). This can be subject to change to the then-current Company policy.
The Producer's current projects include FOE which will be released in 2023 via Amazon and BOY SWALLOWS UNIVERSE, a TV show in production at Netflix. BOY ERASED (Focus) and THE STRANGER (Netflix) are her most recent movies released.
In this role you will:
• Be the point of contact for all inbound and outbound aspects for both the Literary Manager and Producer including coordinating, scheduling, note-taking, rolling calls, deal/payment tracking, etc.
• Rely on sound judgment and knowledge of the business priorities to ensure relevant meetings are scheduled in a timely manner
• Maintain systems to keep supervisor up to date on every aspect of projects in real time
• Assist in creation of pitch desks and connecting with producers, directors, studios, and networks on projects in development
• Read scripts, evaluate talent, track material across film and TV
• Have opportunities for creative input and development
• Assist clients as needed
We are excited about you because you are:
• An experienced Assistant with ideally 1-2 years of experience in the industry, agency/ management experience a plus
• You have interest in a career in representation and/or development as a film/tv executive
• Self-directed, highly organized, and able to balance competing priorities
• Attentive to detail, have strong conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills
• Able to manage up and one's own time to prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives
• A clear communicator, both written and verbal
