Description
Summary/Objective:
An experienced Distribution Manager plays a key role in activating the Guild as a core part of Angel's business model. This includes managing strong relationships with filmmakers while aligning their projects with Guild engagement strategies, coordinating across internal teams, and guiding content through its full lifecycle to maximize audience reach and success. The role requires balancing the priorities of the Angel brand, the Guild community, and filmmakers-ensuring business objectives are achieved while championing creative vision. The Distribution Manager drives profit-generating initiatives by leveraging financial insight, Guild-backed distribution strategies, and mid-level expertise in account management and marketing.

Specialization
• Focus on the full episodic lifecycle, managing all aspects from initial Guild releases through subsequent and continuing seasons.
• Ensure cohesive coordination across production, marketing, and distribution teams to support consistent audience engagement and growth throughout each season's evolution.
Essential functions
• Serve as a primary point of contact for filmmakers, guiding them in building and activating their Guild audience while ensuring alignment with Angel's brand and long-term success.
• Own the success of Guild-driven distribution, and testing strategies, balancing creative vision with community engagement and profitability.
• Track, interpret, and communicate Guild engagement and project performance metrics across campaigns, keeping all stakeholders informed.
• Build and manage relationships with influencers and Guild-aligned voices to amplify reach, strengthen community trust, and maintain brand consistency.
• Manage budgets by forecasting, reporting, and optimizing spend, prioritizing initiatives that drive Guild participation and revenue growth.
• Oversee projects from launch through completion, ensuring timelines are met while adapting to Guild feedback and campaign performance.
• Develop actionable insights by synthesizing Guild data, audience behavior, and market trends to inform strategy and marketing efforts.
• Navigate internal teams to remove blockers and execute initiatives that enhance Guild engagement and content success.
• Ensure creative outputs (including color and design) align with Guild expectations, brand standards, and audience resonance.
• Define and manage operational planning processes to ensure all marketing efforts support Guild growth and broader strategic objectives.
• Build strong relationships across Angel, collaborating effectively to accelerate Guild-driven initiatives and resolve challenges quickly.
• Actively participate in team meetings, contributing insights that support Guild success and cross-functional alignment.
• Maintain strong English communication skills (spoken and written); additional language proficiency is a plus

Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.
Physical demands - May need to sit or stand for significant periods of time and/or walk significant distances while traveling or attending events. May require the ability to carry equipment or gear weighing up to 15-20 lbs. Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential.
Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.
Travel required - May require domestic and international travel, including overnight stays. Must hold a current passport.
Required education and experience
• 3 years of professional experience in leadership, strategy, and brand direction
• Ability to communicate effectively in English - including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding - as required to perform job duties.
Preferred education and experience
• Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or a related field
• 5 years of professional experience in leadership, business and brand-specific strategy, and strategic relationships.
• Familiarity with Angel, the Angel Guild, and our body of work (films, series, and other projects).
Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
