Story Editor, Movies Creative

Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Story Editor for the Movies team. This role owns script coverage and editorial oversight, ensuring consistent quality, timely turnaround, and effective management of coverage operations.
Responsibilities
• Manage and mentor Story Analysts and Readers
• Onboard and train new readers on coverage standards
• Assign incoming material to staff and freelance readers
• Maintain quality control across all coverage
• Ensure timely turnaround on priority material
• Maintain coverage databases and archival systems
Qualifications
• 5+ years in story, development, editorial, or related creative roles
• Deep understanding of screenplay structure and storytelling craft
• Experience managing and editing coverage
• Excellent written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of creative executive experience
• Experience in content creation or copy editing, including online publishing
• Experience collaborating with casting, production, research, PR, business, and legal teams
• Experience overseeing creative aspects of development, production, and post-production
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative software (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign)
